Some of the best things we make start with a simple sentence: “I can’t find one of these anywhere.” A discontinued knob. A bracket that doesn’t exist. A bespoke gift that needs to be exactly right. If you’ve got an idea or a problem part, custom 3D printing is often the fastest, most affordable way to solve it — and as a Melbourne studio, we make it easy. Here’s how it works.
What can you have 3D printed?
More than most people expect. Common custom jobs we take on include:
- Replacement parts for appliances, furniture and equipment that are no longer sold
- Custom brackets and holders sized to your exact space or device
- Personalised gifts — cake toppers, name plaques, lettering and ornaments
- Prototypes for inventors and small businesses testing an idea
- One-off oddities — the thing you’ve sketched on a napkin but can’t buy
How the process works
1. Tell us your idea
You don’t need to be a designer. Send us whatever you’ve got — a photo, a rough sketch, a few measurements, a link to the thing you’re replacing, or your own 3D file (like an STL) if you have one. The more detail, the better, but even a clear description is a great start.
2. We work out the details
We’ll confirm what’s possible, recommend the right material (PLA, ABS or PETG depending on how it’ll be used), suggest a colour from our range of 14, and give you a price. No surprises.
3. We print it — locally
Once you’re happy, we 3D print your part to order right here in Hoppers Crossing, in Melbourne’s west. Because we’re a small local studio, you’re dealing directly with the people making your part, not a faceless factory overseas.
4. It arrives at your door
We dispatch the next business day with free shipping Australia-wide, and you’ll get tracking so you can follow it home.
Why choose a local Melbourne maker?
- Real conversations — talk directly to the maker, not a support queue
- Faster turnaround — no waiting weeks for something to ship from overseas
- Australian-made quality you can rely on
- Less waste — printed to order, in the colour and quantity you actually need
Ready to make it real?
If you’ve got a part you can’t buy or an idea you’d love to hold in your hand, we’d genuinely love to help. Send us the details and we’ll tell you what’s possible. And if you’d like to see the kind of work we do first, take a look through our shop.
